ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) Awareness Training

Description

ISO 9001:2015 is a globally recognized standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS) developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It provides a framework for organizations to establish and maintain an effective QMS that meets customer and regulatory requirements while continuously improving their processes and systems. The standard is applicable to all types of organizations, regardless of their size or industry.

In 2024, ISO introduced amendments to ISO 9001:2015, incorporating climate change considerations into the framework. Organizations are now required to determine if climate change is a relevant issue for their operational context and whether it impacts their stakeholders. This integration helps align quality management with global sustainability efforts and the growing importance of environmental accountability.

Based on a set of principles, including customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making, relationship management, and now, climate risk assessment, ISO 9001:2015 ensures that the QMS is aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives, including those related to climate resilience and sustainability.

ISO 9001:2015 emphasizes the importance of risk-based thinking, which now includes assessing climate-related risks and opportunities. Organizations are required to identify potential environmental impacts and take appropriate actions to mitigate them, ensuring that quality and sustainability go hand in hand. Additionally, organizations must monitor and measure their performance using a variety of metrics, such as customer satisfaction, process effectiveness, product or service quality, and, where applicable, their response to climate-related factors.

This ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) Awareness PPT training presentation is designed to create awareness of the world's most popular standard among management and staff, new hires, and potential auditees. It can also be used to supplement your materials for the training of QMS professionals and internal auditors.

The presentation covers what ISO 9001 is, its benefits, the high-level structure, the certification process, the audit approach, and practical tips on how to handle an audit session. By the end of the training, your employees will be well-informed and comfortable with ISO 9001, including its new climate action components, enabling them to support the implementation and maintenance of an effective, climate-aware QMS in your organization.
